贺梅案上诉将在下周三在田纳西州位于jackson的Tennessee West Section法院进行法庭辩论。

据大孟联负责公共事务的负责人蔡金良先生介绍说，参加当天法庭辩论的有贺少强夫妇的律师，还有关注此案的一些组织和个人也将到法庭参加辩论。当天将有田纳西州司法部，孟非斯大学法学院，Loyola law school of Chicago和Vanderbilt大学的法学院， TN Legal Service和民间组织美华协会都将派人一同参加法庭辩论, 另中国大使馆已被通知，本地贺家团圆基金会和同情贺家的华人也将去法庭旁听。蔡先生希望孟菲斯关心此案的华人能积极参加旁听，亲身了解此案。

He Family’s Appeal to be Heard in TN Court of Appeals

Next Wednesday, February 16th, the Court of Appeals of Tennessee West Section will hold the one and only hearing on the Hes’ appeal to Judge Childers’ ruling, which terminated their parental right to their first born daughter Anna Mae. It is an important and historical step in the development of this five year old case.


The hearing will start at 1:30 p.m. at the State Supreme Court Building (6 Hwy 45, Tel: 731-423-5840) in Jackson, Tennessee. Both sides of the attorneys will present their oral arguments. There are also additional arguments from other interested parties including TN Attorney General, and friends of the court representing UM Law School, Loyola Law School, Vanderbilt Law School, TN Legal Services, and Organization of Chinese Americans. Among the attendance will be the Hes and their supporters. The officials at the Chinese embassy have also been informed of the court hearing, and they are considering sending representatives.
